2010 Marks the 175th Anniversary of
Port Credit

Port Credit Marina- Excellent for boaters

Port Credit, a village that had its beginnings as a small trading centre and fishing port on the mouth of the Credit River has turned into a vibrant and successful business and tourist area, and one of Mississauga's premier destinations.

Aside from its great location, what makes Port Credit a desirable place to live and visit is the huge community spirit. Thanks to the efforts of hundreds of local volunteers, the 175th anniversary of Port Credit will be a huge success.

Some of the events to take place for the 175th anniversary celebration of Port Credit include:

A Music, video and picture display featuring pictures of Port Credit

Historic walking tours of Port Credit

A special Mississauga City Council meeting will be held in Port Credit June 23

Paint The Town Red- Port Credit's Canada Day Celebrations on July  1st will feature a Native Sunrise Ceremony, live music, food, fireworks and a parade.

Time capsules will be on display at the Port Credit Arena, and members of the community and local schools will select what will be placed in them. The capsules will be opened in 2035.
