Erin Mills West was built during the 1980's and encompasses the area west of Winston Churchill Blvd, south of highway 403, East of 9th Line (town of Oakville) and north of Dundas St W. Erin Mills Town Centre is located at Eglinton Avenue and Erin Mills Parkway. Further south at Burhamthorpe Rd and Erin Mills Parkway is South Common Mall which has a Mississauga Transit bus stop depot and community centre.
Along Dundas St, west of Winston Churchill Blvd are power shopping centres hosting many big box outlets. Erin Mills has a large industrial park area in the west section that serves small business and light industry.
Erin Mills also has an excellent system of parks and trails which appeals to outdoor activities. Sawmill Valley trail is an extensive network of nature trails that are popular with both hikers and bikers.
Erin Mills Transportation
Erin Mills is a great place to live due to it's central location. Running through the center of Erin Mills is Highway 403 which takes commuters to Mississauga City Centre, Pearson Airport, Toronto and beyond. Being located in the west part of Mississauga, Erin Mills is also close to Oakville and Halton region.
Although there is no Go Train Station located in Erin Mills, due to its central location, residents either use the Streetsville Go (in the north), Clarkson Go (for residents in south Erin Mills) or Erindale Go Train Staion for residents living in the eastern section.
Erin Mills is also serviced locally by the Mississauga Transit with a hubs located at South Common and Erin Mills Town Centre.
