 Creditview Homes

HOUSING CHARACTERISTICS:

PRO's

Large Homes

Creditview is a small pocket of detached homes that are situated east of the Credit River, most of which are very large and stately. There are a variety of home styles, but most are solid brick, are on wide lots, have double and triple car garages, and offer plenty of space for family life and entertaining.
River Views

Many homes sit along the Credit River which, along with lake views, is the most prime position in all of Mississauga. It is highly desireable not to back onto neighbours, plus to have view of the Credit River.

Privacy Many of the older homes have fair size lots, and the entire area boast mature trees and wide lots. Due to the secluded nature of the area, there is no through traffic, and only locals drive the streets. For all of these reasons, Creditview offers peaceful and private living.
CON's
Premium Prices The major negative is the extremely high price of these homes; outside the reach of the average family buyer. Unless you have a lot of equity, this might not be an area you can consider for your home search.

Creditview Schools

QUALITY & RANKING OF SCHOOLS:

PRO's

Public

Streetsville Secondary School is a top ranked school in Mississauga, and also includes French Immersion

CON's
Catholic St. Joseph's Secondary hits the middle of the pack in terms of school ranking, not as highly ranked as St Aloysius Gonzaga for students on the west side of the Credit River
Elementary Aside from St. Dunstan elementary (catholic), there are no elementary schools within the neighbourhood. If you do have elementary aged children, this might not be ideal for you in terms of transportation.

Creditview Amenities

COMMUNITY "VIBE" & AMENITIES:

PRO's

Premier Neighbourhood

The vibe in Creditview is one of premier exclusive living. People are long term residents and you will likely get to know your neighbours well. There is immense pride, with beautiful curb appeal and well kept homes. If you want estate style living that is up with the Jones', Creditview delivers.

Downtown Core

Creditview is one of the few suburban neighbourhoods that has close access to the Queen Street Downtown. You get the best of both worlds here: quiet family homes plus a quick drive to shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

CON's
Lack of Amenities

This area does not have a lot of parks, schools, or other family amenities; it is mostly all houses. And though Queen Street is close by, it's on the other side of the river, and not as easy to walk to as other communities.

AFFORDABILITY & OVERALL VALUE:

Affordability

This area is not affordable for the average family buyers, with prices between $800,000 and $1.2 million on average.
Value

The value for the family buyer is not as high in this area; though the homes are well suited for families, prices are high and amenities for children are low.

Creditview is NOT Ideal for:

1) Buyers with less than $700,000 budget

2) Buyers looking for areas with lots of young neighbour children and related amenities
