Clarkson has two main Shopping areas. The first is along Lakeshore Rd W, in the Village of Clarkson. Here you will find small town shops and restaurants along with small business plazzas. Further West on Lakeshore Rd at Southdown Rd is a new power centre that has a grocery store, restaurants and host of other small businesses.
Clarkson is very close to Port Credit and Erin Mills, and residents often travel to these areas to shop also.
Clarkson Transportation
Many people living in Clarkson work in other areas of Mississauga and the GTA and the Clarkson Go Train Station is a major part of the community. Located on the Lakeshore W Line, the Clarkson Go Train Station offers 7 days a week go train service to Union Station (Downtown Toronto) and beyond. The ride from Clarkson to Downtown Toronto is approximately 30 minutes, making the area very attractive for people who want easy access to Toronto without the Toronto real estate prices.
Clarkson is also serviced extensively by the Mississauga Transit, and commuters have easy access to the QEW taking them to Toronto and beyond.
